These rubbish months known as January and February always make me crave summer. I used to hate summer and everything that goes with it; sweating, girls in ridiculously cropped crop tops, spaghetti strap tops, the list goes on. This is until I went to my first festival Reading 2009. Ever since festivals have been the key stone to my summer. I have been to Latitude 3 years in a row. It’s amazing. There is always something going on even after the main stage closes, the far away forest is surreal with giant art works and music until early hours.
This year I was lucky enough to also go on holiday. My boyfriend and I some how found ourselves in Ibiza, probably not the top spot for a couples holiday but it was definitely fun. We stayed at Ibiza rocks hotel which was amazing as on the Wednesday The Courteeners played a gig there. I have seen them a fair few times and they never disappoint it was by far the highlight of the trip. Even though I spent half the gig covered in piss thrown from an over enthusiastic, disgusting crowd member. We also rocked up on a boat party which was surprisingly not as terrible as I’d always imagined but was actually quite fun. The best place for me though was definitely Cafe Mambo we went there almost every night for cocktails and a couple of times for food and it was beautiful. If your going to Ibiza you need to go! I’m happy to say I managed to witness my fist ever sunset there and with a pinacolada in hand there was no better place.
